Team & Enterprise plansLeave an organization

Leave an organization

There is no self-service Leave button at the moment. To leave an organization, ask one of its owners or administrators to remove you from Settings → Members. Once removed, the organization disappears from your workspace switcher and you lose access to its shared chats, projects and files.

What to tell the admin

Send them the email address you use with Syntic. They then open your row’s ⋯ menu and choose Remove. See Suspend, restore or remove a member.

If you are an owner

Owners can’t be removed with Remove. Before you go:

  1. Make sure another person is an owner. See Change a member’s role.
  2. If you are the Primary Owner, transfer that role. See Transfer the Primary Owner role.
  3. Ask the new Primary Owner to change your role to Developer, then remove you.

If it’s your personal workspace

Your personal workspace belongs to you and you can’t leave it. You can archive it instead. See Archive or delete an organization.

Leaving an organization doesn’t affect your account or your other organizations. To close your Syntic account entirely, see Delete your account.
