AI Staff and AI Agent slots
Each plan allows a set number of active AI Staff and AI Agents in an organization, called slots. When all slots are in use, you need to deactivate one or upgrade before adding another. Settings → Usage shows how many you are using.
Slots by plan
| Plan | AI Staff slots | AI Agent slots |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 1 | 1 |
| Starter | 3 | 3 |
| Business | 8 | 10 |
| Pro | 20 | 25 |
| Scale | 40 | 60 |
| Operations | 100 | 150 |
| Enterprise | Unlimited | Unlimited |
Checking your slots
In Settings → Usage, the AI Staff row shows, for example, 2 of 3 slots used with a percentage, and the AI Agents row shows the same for agents. Unlimited plans show the number hired or created and Unlimited.
Only active staff and agents use a slot. Deactivated ones don’t count.
Other workforce limits
- Workflow runs are counted as executions. See Workflow credits.
- Chat with AI Staff uses the same token windows as any other chat. See How usage limits work.
AI Staff and AI Agents are in limited preview, so most organizations don’t use their slots yet. See What you can do with Syntic today.
