Model training and your chats

Syntic can use your chats and sessions to train and improve its models, and you can turn this off at any time. The setting is called Help improve Syntic and is on unless you switch it off.

Turn it off (or on)

Open Data Controls

In the Syntic app, open Settings and choose Data Controls in the Personal group.

Find Help improve Syntic

The switch is described as allowing the use of your chats and sessions to train and improve Syntic AI models.

Flip the switch

Off means your chats and sessions are no longer used for training. The change applies from then on.

Exceptions, per the Privacy Policy

The Privacy Policy lists two cases where content is used for model improvement even with the switch off:

  • a conversation is flagged for safety review, or
  • you explicitly send it to Syntic, for example through a feedback button.

Content used in these ways is separated from your user ID.

What about data already used?

Turning the switch off doesn’t undo past training. The account deletion screen says the same: data previously used to improve the models, with your permission, can’t be extracted from the resulting models.

Deleting your account

Deleting your account also stops your data from being used for future model training. See Delete your account.

Organization admins have a similar setting for agent runs in the organization’s compliance settings, described as helping improve Syntic agents with your runs.
