Create an organization
Create an organization when you want to work with other people under one plan and one bill. You can create as many as you need: one may stay on the Free plan, and every additional one needs a paid plan, which you pay for as part of creating it.
Open the create page
Use any of these:
- The workspace switcher at the top of the sidebar → New in the organizations column.
- Your Organizations (from All Organizations in the switcher) → New organization.
- Settings → Members → Create organization, if you have no organization selected.
The page is titled Create a new organization.
Name it and describe it
- Name: your company or team name. You can change it later.
- Type: Personal, Educational, Startup, Agency, Company or N/A.
- Company size: only shown for the Company type, from 1 - 10 up to 1000+.
Choose a plan
Pick a plan in Plan. Learn more opens the plans page. Enterprise isn’t in this list; it is arranged with the sales team.
When you own a Free organization already, Free is not offered and the page says: You already have a Free organization. Additional organizations need a paid plan.
Pay, if you chose a paid plan
A paid plan shows extra fields:
- Spend Cap: on means usage stops at the plan’s allowance; off means usage above the allowance is billed at pay-as-you-go rates.
- Card number, expiry and CVC.
- I’m purchasing as a business: tick it to enter the organization’s name and a Tax ID.
- Billing name, country (2-letter code), address and postal code.
Paid plans created here are billed monthly.
Click Create organization
For a paid plan, your card is charged first and the organization is only created if the payment succeeds. A declined card shows an error and nothing is created.
After it is created, the new organization is selected straight away. You are its owner.
If you belong to no organization at all, this page appears as a required setup step and has no Cancel button, because Syntic needs an organization to work in.
