The Playground
Playground (in the top bar of the Console) is a chat screen for trying prompts without writing code. It is not yet connected to live models: whatever you send, you get back a fixed placeholder reply instead of a real answer.
What you see
The page heading is AI Playground. On the left are three panels:
- Model, showing
syntic-default, with a Streaming switch. - Tools, which reads “No tools selected”.
- MCP Servers, which reads “None configured”.
On the right is the conversation area with a box marked “Ask a question…” and a Send button. Press Enter to send; Shift+Enter adds a new line.
Why the reply doesn’t answer my question
The Playground does not yet call the Syntic API, so it does not use your key or your credit, and it cannot be used to judge model quality. The reply you see says the Playground still needs to be connected to an inference endpoint. No tokens are counted and nothing is billed.
To test a real model today, send one request from a terminal with your API key. The steps are in Make your first API request.
