Where you can use Syntic
You can use Syntic in a web browser, in the desktop app for Mac and Windows, and from your terminal with Syntic Code. Developers can also call Syntic models from their own software through the API.
In your browser
Go to app.syntic.ai and sign in. Use an up-to-date version of a mainstream browser with JavaScript and cookies turned on.
Two browser settings matter for sign-in:
- Pop-ups. Continue with Google opens a small window. If your browser blocks it, Syntic falls back to opening Google in the same tab, so sign-in still works, but allowing pop-ups for the site is smoother.
- Privacy extensions. The sign-in form may run a short automatic security check. Extensions that block third-party scripts can stop it from loading; the form then shows a message asking you to try again.
Desktop app
Desktop app downloads are coming soon; syntic.ai/download will offer the Mac and Windows versions when they are published. The desktop app brings chat, research and images to a native window and includes Syntic Code with a built-in terminal. On the Free plan the desktop app is for chat only; coding features that edit files or run commands need a paid plan. See Syntic Desktop.
Syntic Code in your terminal
Syntic Code is an AI coding assistant for the command line. It needs a paid plan: the Free plan covers web chat only. Install instructions are coming soon; see Install Syntic Code and Syntic Code.
Your own software, through the API
The Syntic API lets your applications use the same models. You need an API key from Settings → API Keys in the app or from the Syntic Console. The Free plan covers web chat only, so API requests and buying API credit need a paid plan. See Syntic API and Console.
Your plan, usage and organization are the same everywhere. Usage from the desktop app, Syntic Code and the API all counts toward the same organization’s limits.
