Two-step verification in the Console
The Syntic Console at platform.syntic.ai uses the same two-step verification as the rest of your Syntic account. You can set it up from the Console too: open your account menu and choose Security (2FA).
Set it up from the Console
Open the Security tab
Click the round button with your initial at the top right, then Security (2FA). This opens Settings on the Security tab.
Add an authenticator
Under Two-Factor Authentication, choose Add authenticator.
Scan and verify
Scan the QR code with your authenticator app, or type the secret shown under “Or enter the secret manually:”. Enter the 6-digit code and choose Verify & enable.
You’ll see “Two-factor authentication enabled”, and the authenticator appears in the list marked “enabled”.
The Console doesn’t show recovery codes. Open Settings → Security in the main Syntic app to see or regenerate them; see Recovery codes.
What signing in looks like
After you sign in with Google or an email code, the Console shows a Two-factor authentication screen asking for the 6-digit code from your authenticator app. Enter it and choose Verify. The Console won’t open any page until you do, even after a reload. A wrong code gives “Invalid code. Try again.”
To leave this screen, choose Sign out.
The Console’s screen accepts authenticator codes only, not recovery or email codes. If you’ve lost your authenticator, follow Lost your phone or authenticator.
Why it matters for API keys
When two-step verification is on, Syntic only creates API keys from a session that has passed the code check. The Console’s sign-in check takes care of that.
Remove an authenticator
Use the delete icon next to it on the same tab. You’ll see “Factor removed”.
