ConnectorsConnectors FAQ

Connectors FAQ

Short answers about connecting apps to Syntic.

The website lists hundreds of apps. Why can I only connect GitHub?

The list on syntic.ai shows the connector directory we are building. In the app today, GitHub is the one connector you can connect yourself; Slack and Microsoft 365 show Coming soon. We’ll update these pages as more open.

What is MCP?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a common format that lets AI tools talk to outside systems. MCP connectors in the Syntic app are coming soon. Syntic Code already supports MCP servers you add on your computer; see MCP servers.

Can Syntic post to GitHub or change my code?

In the app’s chat, Add from GitHub only reads the files you pick. For coding work that edits a repository, use Syntic Code in your own checkout. See Syntic Code.

Can I connect a GitHub organization’s repositories?

You see whatever your GitHub account can see, as long as GitHub allows the Syntic app for that organization. Some GitHub organizations require an owner to approve third-party apps first.

Can my AI Staff or Workflows use connectors?

Not yet. Knowledge sources that sync from other apps and app steps in Workflows are not available yet for general use. See What you can do with Syntic today.

How do I get told when Slack or Microsoft 365 opens?

In Settings → Integrations, select Notify me next to the app. It opens a pre-filled email to support@syntic.ai.

Can I ask for a connector?

Yes. Email support@syntic.ai with the app and what you’d use it for, or select Submit a connector on the Connectors page.
