Edit your profile
Your profile lives in Settings → Account, under Your profile. Besides your name and photo, it holds a few short fields that Amara and your AI Staff read so their answers fit you. Every field is optional.
Open your account settings
Click your email in the sidebar’s lower corner, then Settings. Account is the first tab. The keyboard shortcut is ⇧⌘, on a Mac or Shift+Ctrl+, on Windows.
Change a field
Click into a field and type. A Save button appears next to text fields once you change them; click it to keep the change. Drop-down fields save as soon as you choose.
The profile fields
| Field | What it is used for |
|---|---|
| Profile picture | Shown in the app and to members of your organizations. See Change your profile photo |
| Full name | Your name on your profile and on billing. A full name, preferred name or nickname is fine |
| What should Syntic call you? | A short name your AI Staff and Agents use when they address you. Leave it blank to use your full name |
| What best describes your work? | One option from a list, such as Freelancer or consultant or Student / researcher. Helps Syntic suggest defaults and starter agents |
| Profession / Title | Free text such as Founder & CEO or Head of Engineering. Helps your AI Staff and Agents address you appropriately in chat and on voice |
| Anything else Syntic should know? | Interests, goals and how you like to work. Syntic reads this across chat, voice and your AI Staff and Agents |
The first two fields are filled in from the welcome steps; the work description comes from the same step.
For instructions about tone and format rather than facts about you, use Settings → AI Personality instead. See AI Personality.
What you can’t change here
- Your email address. It is the identity of your account. See Can I change my email address?
