The Free plan
The Free plan lets you use Syntic chat at no cost, with tighter limits than paid plans. It needs no card and doesn’t expire. Every new account’s personal workspace starts on it.
What’s included
The billing page for a Free organization lists what you can do:
- Chat in your browser and in the desktop app
- Generate code and visualize data
- Write, edit and create content
- Analyze text and images
- Search the web for up-to-date answers
- Create files and run code
- Connect your tools with integrations
- Extended thinking for complex work

What needs a paid plan
- API, Syntic Code and desktop coding. Free covers web chat only. API requests from a Free organization are refused, and the desktop app allows chat but not coding tools.
- API and usage credits. A Free organization can’t buy credit or keep going past a limit. If you see Your account is a free one. Please upgrade to buy API credit., upgrade first. Any credit balance you already had is kept.
- Inviting people. An organization needs an active paid plan to invite new members.
- Automatic top-ups. Auto-reload and other automatic charges are only available on paid plans.
One Free organization per person
You can keep one organization on the Free plan. Additional organizations need a paid plan, and Free organizations owned by the same person share a single free allowance. An extra organization without an active plan is locked with the message This organization’s plan is inactive. Subscribe to activate.
When you hit a Free limit, chat shows a banner above the message box with the reason, when it resets, and an Upgrade plan button. More in When you reach a limit.
