Contact support with the right details
When a help article does not solve the problem, write to support@syntic.ai or use the Contact support page. A complete first message lets us help in one reply instead of several. This page lists what to include for each kind of problem.
Always include
- The email address of your Syntic account. Write from that address if you can.
- The organization, if you belong to more than one.
- What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.
- The exact message, copied as text rather than retyped. A screenshot helps too.
- When it happened, with your time zone.
Extra details by problem
| Problem | Also include |
|---|---|
| API errors | The x-syntic-request-id response header (for a 500, the trace_id in the body), the HTTP status, the error code, and the model you asked for. |
| Syntic Code | The output of syntic --version and syntic doctor, your operating system, and a report saved with /feedback if you have one. |
| Syntic Desktop | The app version, your operating system, and the diagnostic report path if the app showed one. |
| Billing | The invoice number, or the date and amount of the charge, and the last four digits of the card. |
| Sign-in | Which method you use (Google or email code), and whether two-step verification is on. |
| Usage limits | The full limit message, including any reset time. |
Find a request ID
Nearly every API response has an x-syntic-request-id header, errors included. Log it next to the error in your code. In most error bodies, the same ID is in error.request_id.
⚠️
Never send passwords, full API keys, sign-in codes, recovery codes or card numbers. Nobody at Syntic will ask for them. Before you attach a log or a /feedback report, read it and remove anything private.
Before you write
- Check status.syntic.ai. If there is an incident, it is already being worked on.
- Search this help center (press
Ctrl+K, or⌘Kon a Mac).
