Account enforcement and appeals

When Syntic finds serious misuse, it can restrict, suspend or close the account involved. You can appeal by emailing support from the account’s email address. Restrictions are meant to be proportionate, and Syntic gives notice and a chance to respond where that is practicable and lawful.

What can happen

ActionWhen it is used
A restriction on certain features or API accessTo deal with a specific risk or breach
Temporary suspensionSerious security risks, unlawful activity or material breaches of the terms
Account closureThe most serious or repeated cases

For the API, access can also be restricted for urgent security threats, material abuse or non-payment. The API Terms say Syntic doesn’t take away prepaid credit merely as an automatic penalty for an alleged breach.

If your account is disabled

You see Your account has been disabled when you try to sign in. While it is disabled:

  • you can’t sign in to Syntic, the Console, Syntic Code or Syntic Desktop
  • API keys the account created stop working, with 403 account_disabled

To use a different account, choose Use a different account.

Appeal a decision

  1. Email support@syntic.ai from the email address on the disabled account. This shows the request comes from the owner.
  2. Explain briefly why you believe the account should be restored.
  3. Keep the reply thread: our team may ask questions before deciding.

Organizations

If a member’s access in an organization was suspended by an admin, that is an organization decision, not a Syntic enforcement action. Ask an owner or administrator. See Suspend, restore or remove a member.
