Usage policy

Use Syntic lawfully and without harming other people. Syntic’s terms list the uses that are not allowed; breaking them can lead to restrictions, suspension or account closure. The rules below summarize the Consumer Terms, Business Terms and API Terms; the published terms are what apply.

Not allowed

Don’t use Syntic, or anything you build with it, to:

  • invade someone’s privacy or carry out surveillance they haven’t agreed to
  • commit fraud, or impersonate a person or organization to deceive
  • exploit or harm minors
  • plan or support unlawful violence
  • create or spread malware, break into systems, or steal credentials
  • interfere with Syntic’s service or infrastructure, or get around its safety controls, usage limits or authentication
  • extract model weights or protected source code
  • infringe other people’s rights

You also shouldn’t share your account, or treat AI answers as a replacement for qualified medical, legal or financial advice.

What is allowed

The terms don’t forbid ordinary software development, authorized security research, interoperability or building competing products with your own resources.

Extra rules for organizations and developers

  • Organizations must set suitable permissions, approval steps and limits for AI Staff, agents and other automated actions, and must not rely on an unreviewed answer alone for decisions about someone’s legal rights, health, employment, credit or safety.
  • API developers are responsible for their own users: terms, privacy notices, consent and age-appropriate access. Where your app shows AI-generated content publicly, offer a way to report and correct it.
