Use Syntic Code with your Team or Enterprise organization
Team and Enterprise plans include Syntic Code. Each member installs it and signs in with their own work account; usage counts toward the organization’s plan. Administrators control Syntic Code on company computers through an organization policy file, and manage seats and billing on the Syntic website.
Set it up for a member
Give the member a seat
An owner or administrator invites the person to the organization. See Invite members and Manage seats.
Install and sign in
Once Syntic Code is publicly available (see Install Syntic Code), the member installs it and runs syntic login. If they belong to more than one organization, the approval page asks which one to connect; they pick the company organization.
Confirm the plan
The Plan: line at the top of a session shows the organization’s plan. If it shows a personal plan instead, the member signs out and back in, choosing the work organization.
What administrators can control
| Control | Where | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Seats and billing | Syntic website, organization settings | Who is a member and what the organization pays. |
| Sign out a member’s tools | The member’s Settings › Security › Sign out everywhere | Ends every browser, Syntic Code and Desktop sign-in on that account. |
| Lock sign-in to your organization | Organization policy file on the computer (forceLoginOrgUUID) | Personal accounts are refused on that machine. |
| Which models people can pick | Policy (availableModels, deniedModels, model) | Hides or blocks models in /model. |
| Permission rules | Policy (permissions.deny, disableBypassPermissionsMode, disableAutoMode) | Rules users cannot override, such as never reading .env files. |
| Tool servers and plugins | Policy (allowedMcpServers, strictKnownMarketplaces) | Only approved extensions can load. |
| Supported versions | Policy (minimumVersion, maximumVersion) | Out-of-range versions do not start a session. |
Policy files live in a system folder that only administrators can write to, and a project can never override them. syntic doctor lists the policy keys in force on a machine.
The Syntic Code switch in the organization’s role settings is not enforced yet. Turning it off does not stop members from using Syntic Code. Use seats and the policy file instead.
Usage and spend
Members draw on the organization’s allowance. Owners and admins can switch usage credits on or off with /usage-credits in a session. Organization admins see usage by product and member in the organization’s analytics on the website.
Enterprise
Enterprise plans have no fixed usage windows and are set up with our sales team. Contact sales@syntic.ai to discuss your organization’s needs. See Enterprise.
